A Tale of Two Birthdays ...

It was the best of birthdays ...
It was the worst of birthdays!
All started out bright and cheery, despite the cold, snow covered day, there was a smile on the face of a young lady, so excited to turn 7.
Ahhhh, there is just something heavenly about a girl turning sevenly!!!
(yes, I really wanted a rhyme)
She went to school and was honored to sit at the birthday table,
which she really enjoyed.

So much so, that she wanted a photo taken with the table decoration.

However, as in all good tales there must be a turn ...

Sweet, little King Baby was taken to the doctor and informed, after a very obtrusive nasal swipe, that he is, indeed, ridden with RSV. A diagnosis that has brought much concern and sadness for his family.

However, due to the loving care of a very kind and helpful Auntie, the Birthday preparations could continue, and presents and cake were prepared for Thing 2 on her special day.

Thank heavens the tradition is to go out for dinner, we kept The King perched high where he was away from everything, but his mommy.

And dinner was enjoyed by all ...

... with a bright, wish-making finale!

Happy Birthday lovely little Thing 2 ...

Thanks for your patience on a tough day!
We love you millions and billions and gazillions!

I'm so sorry to hear about your son! You are the second person I know who's child has RSV! I hope all goes well and he will get better soon! Congratulations to your daughter turning "sevenly". I love that because they are still sinless and still a part of heaven! I'm glad you were still able to celebrate her birthday.
