Alabama ... fried pickles
Arkansas ... rice pudding
Arizona ... cactus cookies
Virginia ... ham
Missouri ... cheese arches (for St. Louis - you know)
This was more miss than hit ... bummer!
The entire time the kids just kept asking, "Can I Eat Arizona Now???"
SSSShhhhhhheeeeeeeeessssssshhhheeeeee!
The final tally:
fried pickles - only I liked them
rice pudding - only two kids liked it (The King was loving it - yay)
ham - only one kid finished
cheese - only one kid liked it (weird, I know - my kids don't like string cheese)
cookies - well, you know!!!
I'm feeling a bit bummed about the fried pickles - I really liked them! But they were by all means a bust for everyone else (Bert included)! Crumb!
Anyhow, I used THIS RECIPE for the fried pickles, adding a little worsteshire sauce to the milk mixture and some cajun seasoning to the flour!

YUM!
I am so intrigued by the fried pickle thing. I may have to break out of my comfort zone and give them a try.
I love fried pickles!
String cheese is a hit at my house with JDaniel. Each child is so unique in their taste. Nice tin!

Awwww, well it all looks good to me! Kids can be finicky sometimes.
