Muffin Tin Monday - Shapes

The kids didn't have school on Friday, which also happened to be:
Thing 1's Birthday.

So, we pulled out the Texas size muffin pans (which I just bought to make the birthday cupcakes for the big party tomorrow) and we had a Muffin Tin Birthday Lunch - with SHAPES!

We have a star shaped sandwich, hexagon shaped wheat thins, carrot sticks, heart of kiwi and our oval or globe shaped grapes! Oh, and the round chocolate donut - it was a birthday after all. We stuck a candle in it and sang happy birthday. The fun part was trying to get The Boy to eat his lunch before attacking the donut!

I had some kiwi and a bunch of carrot sticks myself - hoping to counteract my own donut - yeah, good thinking Jenny!

Thanks Sycamore Stirrings - we love this weekly activity!

So cute! I was planning on entering in the shapes MTM, and forgot it was today! Oops, maybe next time... or this afternoon. Whichever one I can seem to handle better :)

MMM...that round chocolate donut is calling my name! This is a lot of fun and a great way to mix things up a bit for lunch. I'm glad the girls got a chance to check it out this time!
