Friday Fun - Pumpkin Pancakes

This is how we started our Friday - since I was heading out on a Girl's Retreat, I figured I better make sure the kids had some fun before I left. And I have another Pumpkin Project!

This was for breakfast:

These were sooooooooo easy, and if anyone knows where I saw this idea please help me - if I don't print it out when I see it, heck if I can find it again. I saw this idea in my BlogHopping and thought it was fantastic. I didn't really read the instructions, so this is what I did:

Made my favorite pancake batter, added 1 cup pumpkin puree and some cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

Took about 3/4 of a cup of the batter, added one pack of grape koolaid (easy way to get the dark color - thought of it after seeing Katy at Sycamore Stirrings use Koolaid to flavor and color her frosting) and shook the little mixture until it was combined together. Then I put all of this in a squeeze bottle.

I buttered up my hot skillet, used the squeeze bottle to make a face and stem out of the dark purple - let it cook for just a bit.

Then I plopped on my pancake batter in a lumpy way so that it resembled a pumpkin, and let 'em cook.

Fabulous.

Easy.

Fun.

(and the purple part didn't taste so good - but it looked good - I'll go for food coloring next time - or adding more sugar to the purple - hmmmm - can't decide)

If ANYONE knows where this came from, please let me know and I will add that to the post immediately!!!

Thanks!
