High School Dance Photos - What am I Thinking?

As much as I love these opportunities to take out old photos that should probably stay hidden, I am not too sure about these. I am wondering if I need to send out some cyber warnings to the innocent people pictured with me! Hmmm - we'll just not mention names.

High School Dances - ahhh the memories! Here are the photos I could find:

This first one was my first High School dance - my date and I coordinated really well - we're both the same height and we wore the same glasses!!! (and Julie - if you see this, that is your brother in law on the front row) Sorry about the ink smudges on this one - just happens!

Here's another dance with the glasses - I finally learned to take them off for photos after this one!

This dance was hilarious - it was a girl's choice and I was on the committee that put it on - so I really had to be there, with a date preferrably. So, my first option had a big Jazz band performance that day (out of state) and was unable to attend. My next option was a go, until he broke his leg BADLY two days before the dance. Scrambling, I called up someone I hadn't seen for years (as all the others I might be interested in going with were already taken). Since it wasn't his school he was available. Never really saw him again, but when my mom was in for surgery, he was her anesthesiologist - cool!

I don't even know what to say about this one, my date is the one holding my hair - it was fun, though!

This must have been during my Anne of Green Gables Puffy Sleeve phase - those are HUGE!

Here was a very fun one - not too much to comment about except that I was a with a group of fun people and we had a great time - Zombette - wish you had been with us on this one!!!

So glad to have those memories and yet, so glad those days are behind me.

Oh sweetie!

Oh my goodness!

ROFLOL!

Hey...uh, I hope this doesn't sound weird but...who is your date in your "puffed sleeves" pic? I don't recognize him. *sigh*

I'll be really embarrassed if I should. I pretty much recognize everyone else.

I think this may be the "'fro" that gets me to do it, too.

I think I know where MY dance pictures are from the dance where you commented "Wish you were with us".

I was with our friend from the Jr. High gang...you know the one with the, um, nautical name?

:-)

I'll post it as soon as I can find it.

Love yer guts!

Okay...I did it. :-) Please don't hate me. *sheepish grin* I couldn't find 'the one' I was looking for so I added some others instead.

Love yer guts!

Jenny I am dying! You were so dang sexy... I loved Anne of Green Gables also, so that dress was an obvious pick.

Those are awesome! I love how we all have the exact same pictures, just different clothes. Even now, some high school kids are having those exact pictures taken - they're just wearing less!
