My Old Neighborhood

There is one thing that keeps me going back to my old neighborhood year after year after year ...

The Christmas Lights!!!

Last night we loaded in the van and set out for a gander at what my old neighbors are still doing, I don't know if it is a bad case of keeping up with the Jones', but it seems that almost everyone goes all out and makes an incredible display. Whatever the reason, I love to take time each year to appreciate their efforts, and my kids LOVE to see the displays.

Before we set out, however, we must bundle up and my little guy looked so absolutely scrumptious in this little hat, I had to snap a few shots. I was trying to get a smile, but this face was so cute, I had to put it in.

So was this face:

And this one:

And we finally got a little teensy smile:

Okay - enough gushing about my baby, here are my favorites:

This house is my old house and that porch is where Bert and I had our first smooch!!! I still get a little giddy every time I drive by.

And this is the house of the man who sold us my wedding ring - yes, I have a friend in the diamond business, but his name isn't Shane!

And these are just some of the nicest people in the world!

That tree had to be quite a job, there's another tree on the other side, too, but I couldn't get them all in the photo.

And this one is just so happy - literally:

And this is the family that started it all, they moved in and so did Christmas - Thanks Larsens!

We oohhhhed and aahhhhed the entire time, except the King - he seemed a little less than impressed!
