My Kids Can Eat a Whole Watermelon

Okay, not nearly as impressive as a cat eating a whole watermelon.
But I have kids and not a cat!
And if you don't get that (as most of you probably won't)
you really need to see the movie, "Rubin & Ed".

Once the trays of watermelon were brought out,
that's all these guys could think about.

See Thing 2's Delight?

And all Thing 1 is thinking about how to get MORE watermelon

since she just finished her first two slices.

Hmmm ... Watermelon, Watermelon, Watermelon!

Even The King is smacking his lips trying to get some of that goodness,

those eyes just make it too hard to say no. Yes, he got a few nibbles!

So, the watermelon was the star of the show
we went to Saturday night -
forget the fact that their dad was rockin' out with his band.
No, they just wanted watermelon!
And since I can't share a sample of the watermelon with you all,
at least I can share a sample of Bert's band
... anyone in the mood for a "Love Song"?

Maybe next time I'll make sure that I have enough battery power to make it past the first few songs, then I'll get some footage of the whole crowd doing the Hustle!!!

Long Live Disco!

This looks like it was a lot of fun. I wish my son liked watermelon. I rarely buy it because I can't eat a whole one, but what a yummy summer treat.

Oh, one more thing, I remember when "the boy" would do the biter face with watermelon when he was a baby, it was cute. I guess he out grew that, huh!
