Taking a Snow Break

"Kindness is like snow,
it beautifies everything it covers."

~ anon.

(so, so true - my lawn looks so much better under a big blanket of snow)

And, of course, I have to share a few more photos of our fun:

We just had a fantastic snowfall this week. I couldn't resist it, yes, grumpy, old, sick-of-the-cold ME had to get out in the snow. Perhaps I was motivated by the fact that the sun was shining. Or maybe that this would be The King's first opportunity to get out and play in the snow. Or maybe is was a story I heard on the radio that day about Frank Lloyd Wright walking in the snow, alluding to the idea that we need to get out and enjoy life, it's not all just about tasks and objectives, we must take in and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us!

Anyhow, whatever the motivation, we went out and played ... and had a great time!
(even in the stinking cold)

When we were just starting to loose the feeling in our fingers and toes, and the sun was getting too close to it's horizon, we came in, threw all of our snow things on the rug, and drank a pitcher of hot cocoa.

No wonder kids love winter.
