After seeing the little zhu-zhu snack made out of a twinkie (in Family Fun, I think), I decided to make a tin out of favorite toys. This is what we had to play with in our tins:
Tic-Tac-Toe Apple Slices (with a little caramel sauce in the bottom)
Grapes and Toothpick Erector Sets
Stacking Rings Sandwich
Edible Playdough
Fresh Lime with a Cars Toy
And... the Zhu Zhu Twinkie!!!!
This ended up being a very fun tin. I had originally wanted to make a spiral cut on the apples and have them be slinkies, but it didn't work. I should have done potatoes! Oh well.
AND ... those Cars on the straws are from my Muffin Tin Swap package that already arrived. (My partner is sooooo much more on the ball than myself.) THANKS JEN!
The kids had fun with the grapes and toothpicks:
There's her finished product:
And The Boy ate his faster than he could put it together:
And the King had fun sneaking a taste from his sister's tin:
There he was ... caught in the act!
(but who could get mad at a face like that???)
