My stepdad just got one and the doctor gave him a spare to show off to people! Pretty small for the amount of work it will be doing over the next several years. And there it is inside him, just under his collar bone ... pretty cool stuff. Now, let's hope it does what it is supposed to do, for a LONG time!

My mother in-law has one. I have never seen one before.
I saw a few old ones during one of my health classes. They were a lot bigger and chunkier than the one shown in your photo. Personally, I like the size of them now. The ones back then look way too... uncomfortable.
My mother in law has one.... she drives us crazy about it. It is cool though!
The only reason why my Mom is alive is because of a pacemaker. They are wonderful but so worrysome! My Mom would instantly drop dead if it stoped working, so she and my dad are so careful with metal detectors and such. They too drive me crazy! But I would be paranoid also if my mortality was in the hands of a little battery.
