Please Don't Call Me at 5 in the Morning...

Really - please wait a little longer if you can.

But, if you have just fallen out of bed and you can't get back in, and you really need to call someone, I guess you can call me. But only on the condition that you will let me help.

If you call and tell me about your problem and I sound groggy, that's because you just woke me up from one of the few hours of sleep I get each night, so it takes me a minute to get the transmitters transmitting again.

If you tell me what room you are in and I mentally start going through my house and realize that you are not in my house, please be patient with me while I try to figure out what the heck is going on.

If I tell you that I would like to be helpful and that my name is Jenny and I need to know where you are so that I can help you, please listen and try to figure out if you really know me or not.

If I ask you if I can call emergency services for you please don't suddenly realize that you have the wrong number and hang up on me!!!

If you are going to wake me up in the middle of my sparce sleep - PLEASE LET ME BE A FREAKING HERO!!! (YES - I AM SHOUTING) LET ME CALL THE POLICE AND BE THE ONE TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET BACK IN YOUR BED EVEN IF YOU ARE IN A NURSING HOME WHERE SOMEONE JUST A FEW STEPS AWAY CAN HELP YOU BUT YOU JUST HAPPENED TO DIAL MY NUMBER INSTEAD OF THE NURSE'S DESK THAT YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD CALLED. SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE AND LET ME GET YOU TAKEN CARE OF SO THAT I CAN HAVE A GREAT STORY TO TELL ABOUT HOW I HELPED SAVE A MAN'S LIFE.

Yes, I know that you were not in mortal danger or even in any pain, you were just stuck. But did you really have to hang up on me after you realized I was not the nurse? I am glad you are taken care of, now please program the Nurse's Desk into your speed dial so that this doesn't happen again.

Take care Mr. Griffin, whoever you are!

Chanelle - yes this really happened - it was soooo funny, I couldn't believe. And I really did want to help him, what's a girl to do?

And Tia - I am sitting under a 2 month old blob all day - he doesn't mind if I am sitting at the computer - just as long as I am holding him!

Things will definitely change when he gets mobile!

We would like to add you, however, you need to link to us first. When you have done that shoot us another email and we will gladly add you to the mormon mommyblogs!
