A Day Late and a Dollar Short!

That is the story of my life!

I wanted to share these for Elsa's Thursday Share - but here it is on Friday.

... sigh ...

Anyhow, here are a few things that I have been working on:

First, this apron is a wedding present. Her shower is tomorrow and she has red in her kitchen colors so I thought the fabric was perfect. I am still debating whether to add pockets or not -

Any input??? Pockets - yes or no - I still have time to sew them on, just not sure if I should.

Second, is a project I have been working on for a while - trying to get it to work for our family. It is a Family Home Evening assignment chart as well as a reward chart for helping around the home. I have our name at the top, but it has obviously been altered for this photo. We have each of our photos holding a metal board with our names on it and we scoot the photos around each week on Sunday. There are also little "Tidy Up Tokens" that are kept on the right side. And when the kids do something above and beyond their own responsibilities, I let them move a token by their picture. On Sunday, the token count is made and appropriate rewards are given. It has been working like a charm this first week - couldn't be happier with the helpful enthusiasm I am seeing in my two wonderful girls.

The coveted "Tidy Up Token" - I am probably going to have to make more of these soon!

Any ideas you have to share - go to Elsa and share away. We all LOVE good ideas.

Hey, we all have days like that. And I love that apron! It is super cute. But, I say put the pocket on it ~ I use mine to put towels in. I hope you have a fun time!

Hi Jenny!

If you're still taking votes, I say "yes" to the pocket(s). I have 3 aprons total -- 2 I recently got through freecycle, and the first thing I did was add a pocket to the one that didn't have one already. And I don't sew...so that's saying something. It's incredibly useful to me to have a "pouch" there for the miscellany that might end up in my hand(s).

It is soooo cute!

You Rock!
