Christmas Images

This Christmas was a beautiful time, FULL of get togethers, parties, activities and about as much fun as our little family could handle.

Bert's work was the first of the events ... we gathered for a fun kid's lunch and a visit with Santa

And what kind of parents would we be if we didn't subject the little one to such torture???

Some had their faces painted:

Some got balloon thingies:

(nothing quite says Peace on Earth like a big balloon bazooka - right???)

And some just enjoyed the fun atmosphere:

A few days later we gathered with some friends and went caroling through the neighborhood.
This really was one of the best evenings I had this Christmas season. Singing seems to bring the spirit of Christmas into your life more quickly then most other activities. And our neighbors even seemed to appreciate our stopping by that evening.

Thing 1 had her School Choir Concert:

and The Boy had his Preschool Program:

And then there were the parties ... LOADS of parties!

With Friends:

With family:

We kept old traditions going, like Santa Lucia:

Performing for the family on Christmas Eve:

and eating Muffin Tin Lunches:

And we started some new traditions, like re-enacting "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer":

And the Monstrously Huge Gingerbread House:

And then Santa came:

And Christmas morning was filled with excitement, including the happy dance:

and we topped it off with our traditional Christmas Morning Aebleskivers:

and bacon, of course:

We were happy to have Nana and Papa with us this morning, they were taking off for Arizona and had time for a quick breakfast before Debbie drove them to the Airport. We loved their Christmas hugs and kisses, however, we really hoped that they would pack us in their luggage!

And the rest of the day was spent playing, napping, eating, playing, napping, eating, and watching a movie!

What a lovely Christmas Day!

You guys know how to celebrate! So, you got to stay home all day on Christmas? And did you say 'napping' more than once? That is quite lovely. Your kids are too cute, looks so fun!
