Irish Blessing for Mothers

To my mom who carries Irish blood and passed some of that on to me:

"There is but one and only one,
Whose love will fail you never.
One who lives from sun to sun,
With constant fond endeavor.

There is but one and only one
On earth there is no other.
In heaven a noble work was done
When God gave us a Mother."

Although the amount of Irish in me is not very great (my Danish line is much stronger), I still feel a strong attachment to those roots. Of course, I was brought up with a mother who claimed her Quarter Irish ancestry with pride. She has also taught me a lot about those who came before me. I feel like I know them, and more importantly, I have a great love for them. And well, the red hair kind of helps, too.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

And here's an Irish Wish for a Friend:

"Wishing you a rainbow
For sunlight after showers—
Miles and miles of Irish smiles
For golden happy hours—
Shamrocks at your doorway
For luck and laughter too,
And a host of friends that never ends
Each day your whole life through!"

With all the green at the grocery store today you would think all of Simpsonville is Irish!

Happy Belated St. Patricks Day!!

I enjoyed my workday as I watched the children pour into the school wearing all sorts of green.

I moved my blog again, other one was not working right.
