Won't Get Fooled Again

well, until next year, that is!

You just gotta love April Fools Day,
especially when mother nature gets involved ... ha on us!!!

The kids didn't seem to mind too much, though.

The Boy actually got to have his "Snow Day" at school ... that part was fun!

And the girls had a casual dress day as long as they were superheroes ... despite what happened on "The Incredibles" we believe that capes make the superhero.

Thing 2 decided her cape could double as an apron.
(The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree now, does it???)

The Boy had some fun telling his teacher he saw dolphins in the sky on the way to school -
she's such a good sport, she acted surprised about it - we love her!

The biggest April Fools was on me ... having to accept that The Boy is starting school next year.
We had his Kindergarten Round-Up ... he loved it and started making friends right away.
(I, on the other hand, sat in a corner and tried not to cry, okay, I actually did cry at one point!!!!)

Then I dropped the boys off at my sister's home while I went to meet with Thing 1's teacher.
We played a pretty good trick on Debbie:

She fell for it ... who wouldn't ... The Boy totally hammed it up that he just got stitches - good job buddy!

Of course, she had the same surprise waiting for me when I went to pick them up:

Didn't fall for it, but got a good laugh anyway!

We also got a kick out of the Wii - it had to get in on the April Fools day fun as well.

Other tricks of the day:
Thing 1 was got by a whoopee cushion (chuckle)
Thing 1 and Thing 2 short-sheeted my bed
Thing 1 and Thing 2 hid all of our toiletries
I was got by my friend showing a Century 21 sign on her blog - doh!
I tried to get my Facebook friends to believe my sister was engaged ... only one took the bait
Thing 1 and Thing 2 switched all the cereal around

And, since I needed to get one good one in for the day:

Extra salty Chocolate Chip Cookies - BLECH!!!!

So, until next year ... we shouldn't get fooled again!

I just loved how Mother Nature got us all here in Utah with a good snow fall.

Love the super hero capes, that are aprons. Cute idea on the part of Thing 2.
